Trinity Camp & Mini Trinity Camp Trinity Episcopal Church offers two camps each summer. Trinity Camp offers a wonderful sleep away experience in Big Bear, CA. Worship Ministries Our worship is central to our life together. We are grateful for all who serve during worship. Reading, ushering, and acolyting are just a few ways you can serve. See below for all our worship ministries. Please contact the church office to learn more Altar Guild The Altar Guild completes important behind-the-scenes tasks in preparation for worship services. Setting up the altar, laundering linens, maintaining vestments, and ensuring the items needed for worship are in good condition are some of the Altar Guild's roles Crucifers & Acolytes Carrying the processional cross as a crucifer and assisting at Communion are two key roles of Trinity's crucifers. Other acolytes carry candles during processions. This is a ministry good for young and old alike. Ushers The "first face" of the parish, our Ushers greet people arriving for worship, distribute service leaflets, collect the offering, and provide general assistance on Sunday mornings. Lectors Lectors read the Old and New Testament lessons on Sunday mornings and have an opportunity to spend time with the readings before Sunday as they prepare. Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs) Reading the prayers and assisting the priest in preparing for and distributing Communion are richly rewarding ways to share your gifts during worship. Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs) When the earliest disciples gathered to break bread together, as instructed by our Lord, they took a portion home so sickly or elderly family members could share in the Feast. Today, Lay Eucharistic Visitors share the Body of Christ with parish members who are unable to attend Sunday worship. We are sent out as an extension of the altar rail, administering the elements and emphasizing the reality that Trinity is a body of believers united by their faith in Jesus Christ.

Scouting Sunday is this Sunday! Scout Sunday and Pinewood Derby Fun! Join us on Sunday, Feb 08 as we celebrate Scout Sunday at our 10:00 a.m. service. Bring your scouting sash, badges, or uniform to be blessed during the service! Immediately following the service, stick around for a Pinewood Derby that's sure to bring plenty of fun, friendly competition, and smiles for all ages. Families, scouts, and friends are all welcome. Come cheer, connect, and enjoy the excitement! Children & Youth Programs We welcome children and youth from grades pre-K to High School, both regulars and newcomers, to our Sunday School and Youth Group. For pre-K to 5th graders, we strive to teach children about God’s love for them while also sharing Bible stories and important messages about how our faith tells us to treat ourselves, each other, and the world. We welcome faithful adults who wish to teach our children and youth about the Word of God. There is a special joy in watching the children learn about the stories in the Bible and teaching them about God and His Love for them. Please contact the church office to learn more. Children's Programs Sunday School takes place each Sunday during the program year. Children begin by gathering in the Sanctuary at the 10:00 am service where they receive a blessing before going to their classrooms. Children return during the offertory to receive communion with their families. Mini Trinity Camp a week-long mini camp for children younger than 2nd grade. Our History The History of Trinity Episcopal Church Trinity welcomes you today to church that has been designated as one of Redlands Historical Society's Heritage Buildings. The congregation began as a mission church in 1886 with the Church's first service held near Hinckley Ranch on Mission Road. A year later, Redlands city planners Judson and Brown, donated a lot on the corner of what is now Center and Home Place, and a permanent building was erected with the name "Trinity" to reflect the union of the three localities of the area "in one ecclesiastical charge to the glory of the Triune God." As the center of Redlands moved from Center and Home Place to Cajon Street and Olive Avenue, Trinity also moved, taking a place on "church corners" adjoining the Congregationalists, Baptists, and Methodists in 1895. By 1904, having outgrown their original building, Trinity moved for the last time. The present building, on the corner of Fourth and Fern, was made possible by a gift from Mrs. Albert Burrage as a memorial to her mother-in-law, Mrs. Aurelia Burrage. It was built mostly in the English tradition out of cut stone from the Taylor Brick Company of Redlands, and designed by the renowned architect, Daniel F. Willard of Riverside. Its most notable interior feature is the stain glass windows. The East "Ascension" window (1893) was moved from the original old church. Both it and the West "Te Deum" (1931) window were crafted in Munich Germany. The smaller windows along the North and South sides of the sanctuary are dedicated to many Redlands notables from the years of 1925 to 1943. In 1957, the St. Mary's Chapel was completed and is home to three windows designed by the Judson Studios. Parish members continue to honor their loved ones with new pieces that are tucked elsewhere within the church proper. Upholding a reputation for fine music, Trinity houses an organ that has essentially been totally rebuilt. Trinity's pipe organ was built in Redlands by Steuart Goodwin and Company Opus 4 in 1976. The church's original 1904 Austin organ provided some of the parts, along with the 1854 Jardine organ that had been moved from Rome, New York, for the original church. The painted pipes that face the congregation are merely decorative. The actual working pipes are housed in a chamber behind the organ itself. We invite you to enjoy our many liturgical offerings throughout the church year which represent our rich Episcopal traditions.

Music Ministry Trinity has a distinguished history of excellent music. Under the leadership of Jeff Rickard, Trinity is blessed with rich music programs including its esteemed choir . The music that is heard at Trinity Episcopal Church is drawn from the vast repertoire of traditional choral and organ music. St. Dunstan's Choir Director - Jeffrey H. Rickard St. Dunstan's Choir is the adult choral ensemble to the parish. Singing weekly at the 10:00 AM Sunday Eucharist, this choir continues to distinguish itself as extraordinary leaders at worship and song from the Fall start-up in September through Summer Sundays in July. Practices are Thursday evenings from 7:30 PM to 9:00 p.m. in the Music Conclave upstairs of the Parish Hall. All are welcome! St. Cecilia's Choir St. Cecilia's Choir is the children's choral ensemble to the parish, singing every other week at the 10:00 AM Sunday Eucharist. Currently the choir is not meeting but hopes to restart again soon. The choir is also looking for a piano accompanist. Trinity Ringers Currently the Trinity Ringers are looking for a new director.

Scouts Trinity has a long history of supporting the Boy and Girl Scouts. We are proud to continue that tradition.
